About the Choir
Fabre is a dynamic chamber choir based in Dublin. Formed in October 2024 and directed by Ciarán Kelly, the choir is made up of more than twenty singers from across the city and perform a mixture of contemporary and classical a cappella chamber music. Recent achievements include Highly Commended in Choirs for Christmas (Lyric fm), second place in the national mixed voices category and first place in the national pop/gospel category at the Derry International Choir Festival. Fabre were winners of National Choir of The Year at Navan Choral Festival 2026, and will feature on TG4's national choir competition Curfá in the Autumn of 2026.
Musical Director
Ciarán Kelly is a versatile and accomplished conductor and composer based in Dublin. Originally from Derry, he currently serves as Director of Cór Linn, The Guinness Choir, and Fabre Chamber Choir. He also holds the position of Head of Music at King’s Hospital School in Palmerstown, Co. Dublin. Recent performances include Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Gjeilo’s Dreamweaver, MacDowell’s The Girl from Aleppo, and Mozart’s Requiem. In addition to his work as a conductor, Ciarán is an accomplished composer with several works performed by ensembles across the UK and Europe.
Adam & Eve's Church
We rehearse every Monday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Merchant's Quay, in the heart of Dublin 8. Adam and Eve's is renowned for its diverse range of liturgical and concert music, and has a rich and fascinating history dating back to the thirteenth century. Like so many churches, Adam and Eve’s would have had excellent acoustics for a choir of any kind. Its dome was built in or shortly after 1900 at the same time the inside was rearranged and expanded. Today, the church even houses one of the largest Catholic church organs in Dublin which has been described as one of the finest in the country.
